Full Description

What is Reflexology?

It is an energy based therapy which is non-intrusive and is based on the theory that different points on the feet, lower leg, hands, face or ears correspond with different areas of the body. By applying gentle pressure to specific points on the hands or feet, reflexology aims to help you relax and promotes health and wellbeing.

Research shows that a single reflexology session can create relaxation, reduce anxiety, diminish pain, improve blood flow and decrease high blood pressure.

Reflexology Treatment

Apart from removing shoes and socks, the recipient remains clothed and lies on a couch or sits on a chair and relaxes.  The therapist will discuss any problems you may have and will go through a brief medical history.   After cleansing the feet with a mild disinfectant spray, the therapist applies gentle pressure to the soles of the feet concentrating on any areas that have been previously discussed.

Our therapist would provide onsite appointments which would be 30 minute sessions, allow us to complete up to 10 sessions per day.

What is Reiki?

Reiki is an oriental method of working with energy, discovered relatively recently (1920 -1930’s) by a Japanese man called Mikao Usui.  Reiki promotes healing.  It is administered by “laying on hands” and is based on the idea that an unseen “life force energy” flows through us via pathways called chakras, meridians and nadis. It also flows around us in a field of energy called the aura. Reiki heals by flowing through the affected parts of the energy field and charging them with positive energy

Reiki Treatment

The Reiki practitioner is a conduit for external energy allowing this to flow through to the individuals, which allows their own energy system to re balance. Reiki is believed to improve just about any aspect of life, from physical health to emotional well-being to stress reduction and mental clarity.  It has also been known to reduce pain and side effects caused by medication.

The recipient remains clothed and lies on a couch or sits on a chair and relaxes. The practitioner gently places their hands in a series of non-intrusive positions on or near the body. There is no massage or manipulation. The whole person is treated rather than specific areas.

Our therapist would provide onsite appointments which would be 30 minute sessions, allow us to complete up to 10 sessions per day.

Our Practitioners are trained in their field to deliver the treatment.  However, they will not diagnose or predict any specific outcome from a session or treatment. If an employee or individual is concerned about their symptoms we will advise that they see their GP.

A quiet air conditioned or cool meeting room or office is ideal for the therapy sessions.   It is advisable that the room is away from phones, noisy equipment and interruptions.

Continued high levels of stress can cause health problems, the inability to concentrate, lack of focus and workplace conflicts.  A relaxed workforce brings a greater sense of wellbeing higher levels of job satisfaction, improved performance and motivation.
