Stress and Resilience Workshops
The essence of this workshop is to challenge some of our preconceptions about ourselves and other people. We are often strongly invested in our assumptions – even if those assumptions aren’t helping us.
This fun and engaging seminar will provide new, more positive and healthy foundations from which you can build and grow personally, professionally and socially.
- To develop greater understanding in the area of stress and stress management
- Define ‘resilience’ and what it is that makes one person seem more resilient than another
- Discuss healthy and helpful coping strategies
- Review what causes people to be happy and motivated
There are many things that can cause stress. The major stressors can be work, unemployment (or the fear of it), serious illness, bereavement, financial problems or relationship issues.
Stress causes our bodies to release a range of hormones and these can have both short and long term effects on the human body. These hormones can have a positive effect on the way we work but can also be destructive if we don’t find a way to relax and unwind. Symptoms vary between individuals but can include both mental and physical symptoms.
